{"id":115204,"date":"2021-11-19T09:29:57","date_gmt":"2021-11-19T08:29:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.asd-int.com\/mini_blog\/european-union-e-commerce-vat-reform-infringement-procedure-against-denmark-croatia-and-lithuania\/"},"modified":"2021-11-19T09:43:54","modified_gmt":"2021-11-19T08:43:54","slug":"european-union-e-commerce-vat-reform-infringement-procedure-against-denmark-croatia-and-lithuania","status":"publish","type":"mini_blog","link":"https:\/\/www.asd-int.com\/en\/european-union-e-commerce-vat-reform-infringement-procedure-against-denmark-croatia-and-lithuania\/","title":{"rendered":"European Union &#8211; E-Commerce VAT reform &#8211; infringement procedure against Denmark, Croatia and Lithuania"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Since 1 July 2021, a VAT reform called the &#8220;E-Commerce VAT Package&#8221; has entered into force, the main measures of which are the following: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Redefinition of the concept of &#8220;Distance Selling&#8221;;<\/li><li>Abolition of local distance selling thresholds;<\/li><li>Abolition of the exemption for imported parcels with a value of less than 22 euros;<\/li><li>Introduction of 3 optional special schemes and corresponding electronic portals (OSS);<\/li><li>Introduction of VAT accountability of marketplaces. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>Most Member States have transposed the EU rules into their local rules<\/strong>.
