{"id":141115,"date":"2022-08-19T11:24:36","date_gmt":"2022-08-19T09:24:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.asd-int.com\/mini_blog\/united-kingdom-hm-revenue-and-customs-warns-importing-companies-to-migrate-to-the-customs-declaration-service-as-soon-as-possible\/"},"modified":"2022-09-09T09:22:06","modified_gmt":"2022-09-09T07:22:06","slug":"united-kingdom-hm-revenue-and-customs-warns-importing-companies-to-migrate-to-the-customs-declaration-service-as-soon-as-possible","status":"publish","type":"mini_blog","link":"https:\/\/www.asd-int.com\/en\/united-kingdom-hm-revenue-and-customs-warns-importing-companies-to-migrate-to-the-customs-declaration-service-as-soon-as-possible\/","title":{"rendered":"United Kingdom: HM Revenue and Customs warns importing companies to migrate to the Customs Declaration Service as soon as possible"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>His Majesty&#8217;s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has issued an urgent warning to businesses to <strong>register for the digital Customs Declaration Service (CDS) for their importations into the UK.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>According to HMRC, more than 3,500 businesses have not yet made the switch and risk significant delays in importing goods if they do not begin switching to the new simplified UK customs system immediately. <\/p>\n\n<p>The CDS will become the single customs declaration system in place of the current Customs Handling Import and Export Freight (CHIEF) system.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>HMRC has said that businesses submitting import declarations must use CDS from October 1, 2022<\/strong>, date when the CHIEF system will close for import declarations.
