deadline extension for submission of 13th VAT Directive refund applications"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><p class=\"p1\">In principle, non-EU businesses have until 30 June 2020 to <strong>apply for a VAT refund<\/strong> for the calendar year 2019.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&#13;\n&#13;\n<\/span>However, in order to alleviate the economic consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, the <strong>German tax authorities<\/strong> may grant an additional delay for businesses which are not able to submit the VAT refund application by 30 June 2020, under the following conditions:<\/p><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The company must explain why it was not possible to submit the application by 30 june 2020;<\/li><li>The application must be submitted by 30 September 2020 at the latest.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p>Source: <a
