After Paris, Grenoble, Lyon and Lille, it is Strasbourg and its 33 surrounding municipalities which set up this system.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>WHY ?<\/h2>\n<p>There are three issues to be distinguished :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ecological: preserving our planet from pollution peaks is a major challenge against global warming.<\/li>\n<li>Economic: according to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.senat.fr\/fileadmin\/Fichiers\/Images\/commission\/enquete\/pollution_air\/Synthese_CE_Pollution_de_l_air.pdf\">report of the Senate commission of inquiry<\/a>\u00a0on the economic and financial cost of air dating from July 2015, the state would pay 3 billion euros in health, between 68 and 97 billions of euros\u00a0for socio-economic costs\u00a0and at least 4.3 billion euros a year for\u00a0hidden costs.<\/li>\n<li>Public health: the air quality has an impact on all the citizens and especially the asthmatic people, the young children, the elderly &#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For example, it is recommended that you do not practice intense physical and sports activities during pollution peaks.<\/p>\n<h2>HOW IT WORKS ?<\/h2>\n<p>The objective is to be able to classify the vehicles easily by average age and by motorization.
