COOKIE USAGE POLICY

This cookie usage policy was updated on 27 November 2019.

This cookie usage policy is applicable when viewing any of the ASD websites, specifically, first, the website www.asd-int.com and, second, the website www.soposting-worker.com (hereafter “the Websites”).

This cookie usage policy aims to inform you, with complete transparency, about what cookies are, how they are useful to us and how they can be managed.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a file placed on the hard disk of the computer of an internet user by the server of the website visited or by a third-party server (partner, advertising company, etc.).

During your first visit to the Websites, a banner will inform you that continuing to browse indicates your acceptance that cookies will be installed on your device. A cookie will be installed to remember your choice. You should note, however, that if you delete this cookie, your consent will be requested again during your next visit. You can revise your choices at any time in the various ways described in the “Cookie management” section below.

What are cookies used for?

Cookies allow their issuer to identify the services and sections used by the internet user when visiting the Websites, and their behaviour on the website more generally, to provide them with personalised services.

Cookies may be placed on your computer when you are viewing the Websites. These cookies allow information to be collected in order to create visitation statistics for the purpose of improving your user experience on our Websites. In addition, some of the functionality on our Websites (sharing content on social networks, direct viewing of videos) relies on services offered by third parties. These functions place cookies which, in particular, allow these third-party websites to track your browsing.

More specifically, cookies improve your browsing experience by, for example, saving your login details so they can be used again during your next visit, your language preferences, etc. Cookies can also record your browsing habits to offer you better-targeted advertising or to measure the popularity of certain services.

Cookies are stored for a maximum of thirteen months from the time they are saved on your device. When this period ends (or if you have manually deleted your cookies), your consent for cookies to be placed and/or read will be requested again.

Who creates the cookies on your computer?

The cookies placed on your device from the Websites may be placed by companies within the ASD Group or third parties.

The cookies placed by ASD are mainly linked to the functioning of the Websites.

Other cookies are placed by third parties (by partners or via advertising companies). These are cookies placed by third parties such as Facebook, Twitter, Google. The issue and use of cookies by third parties is subject to the “cookie policies” of these third parties which we recommend that you view directly on their websites.

Only the issuer of a cookie may read or change the information it contains.

Types of cookies placed on the Websites

The types of cookies we place on your device are statistical to allow our Websites to be adapted to the demands of our visitors. This allows us to measure the number of visits, the number of pages viewed as well as the activity of the visitors on the Websites and how often they return. These cookies enable the creation of visit analysis statistics which form the basis for improving the content of our Websites based on the success of this or that page among our visitors.

Cookies also allow various items of information to be saved, particularly your user preferences and the display settings you use to make browsing easier during your next visit to our Websites.

Cookie management

Several options are available to you for managing cookies. You have the option of allowing cookies to be stored on your device or rejecting them, either systematically or according to the issuer.

The settings you choose to apply may affect the conditions for your access to our services that require the use of cookies.

At any time, and free of charge, you can choose to express and change your cookie preferences, in the ways described below.

Configuring your browser:

You can manage cookies through the privacy settings of the browser that you use. Deleting the cookies from your browser, however, may reset the preferences you defined when using our Websites. You should therefore view this page periodically to review your preferences.

The configuration of each browser is different in how cookies and your preferences are managed. Your browser’s Help menu will tell you how to change your cookie preferences.

Rejecting cookies:

Saving a cookie on a device is intrinsically subject to the will of the device’s user. You can delete and reject cookies on this device at any time.

If you refuse to allow cookies to be saved on your device, or if you delete the ones that are saved there, you will no longer be able to benefit from some of the functionality required to navigate on some parts of our Websites. This would be the case if you tried to access our content or services that require you to identify yourself or if you – or our service providers – cannot recognise, for technical compatibility purposes, the type of browser your device is using, its language or display settings or the country from which your device appears to be connected to the internet. If applicable, we decline any responsibility for consequences associated with the degraded functioning of our services resulting from us being able to save or view the cookies required for their functioning and which you may have rejected or deleted.

It is important to note that preventing cookies being stored on your device does not mean that you will receive no advertising. It means only that the advertising shown to you on the Websites will no longer match your interests or your preferences on the browser you currently use.

In addition, if your device is used by several persons or includes several web browsers, it is possible that some of your cookie choices will not be permanently taken into account, either because you used another browser, or because a third party changed your browser settings. We cannot prevent these external influences and cannot guarantee that the choices you initially expressed will remain in place.
