Ireland – End of application of temporary reduced VAT rate on 1 March 2021

As we previously mentioned in our news of 24 July 2020, Ireland had decided a temporary reduction in the standard VAT rate from 23% to 21% due to the Covid-19 crisis.

There will be no extension of the application of this temporary reduced rate. Therefore the rate of 23% has become applicable again since 1 March 2021.
