Following the post-Covid economic crisis, the Luxembourg government reduced the various VAT rates (except the super-reduced rate) to keep pace with inflation in 2023.

From 01.01.2024, VAT rates will revert to their standard values:

  • The standard rate will rise from 16% to 17%.
  • The interim rate rises from 13% to 14%.
  • The reduced rate will rise from 7% to 8%.
  • The super-reduced rate of 3% remains unchanged.
