On the basis of EU Regulation 2019/2152 and with a view to reducing the statistical reporting burden on taxable companies identified as VAT payers, the Bulgarian and Lithuanian tax authorities have decided to increase the respective Intrastat thresholds.
The new Intrastat 2024 thresholds in Bulgaria:
- The threshold for introduction is raised from 700,000 BGN to 1,650,000 BGN
- The threshold for shipping is raised from 1,000,000 BGN to 1,900,000 BGN
The new Intrastat 2024 thresholds in Lithuania:
- The threshold for introduction is raised from EUR 500,000 to EUR 550,000
- The threshold for shipping is raised from EUR 300,000 to EUR 400,000
These changes will come into force in January 2024.
