Reading time: < 1 minute

On 8 May 2020, due to the practical difficulties created by the Covid-19 crisis, the European Commission proposed to postpone by 6 months the introduction of the e-commerce VAT reform initially planned for 1 January 2021.

This postponement was accepted by the Member States and ratified in the various texts of the reform, which now provide for an entry into force on 1 July 2021.
