Foreign drivers of light commercial vehicles with a MAM (Maximum Authorised Mass) of less than 3.5T are subjected to the rules of the posting of workers in transport industry:
- To have a representative in France who is registered in the French commercial register;
- The representative must hold onto the payslips and proofs of payment compliant with the French social regulations. These documents must be translated in French in order to present them to the French authorities immediately if it is required;
- To be in possession a of an A1 or SE certificate.
In the vehicle:
- The representative’s certificate;
- The employment contract translated in French;
- The A1 certificate;
- The proofs of breaks spent outside of the vehicle.
You must bring evidence that you are respecting the rules of working time and break time.
Failing to respect these rules may lead to a fine of €4,000 per infraction minimum.
