The British government has announced the postponement of measures regarding the import/export of sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) products.

Due to the sanitary crisis, the supply chains have been seriously impacted. In particular, the agri-food sector.

That’s why the United Kingdom established a new schedule to give them more time to adapt.

Initially planned for October 1st, 2021, the following obligations will come into force on July 1st, 2022:

  • Pre-notification of sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) products
  • New requirements for export sanitary certificates.
  • Phytosanitary certificates and physical checks od SPS goods at border inspection posts.
  • Safety and security declaration on imports.
