From 31 January 2024, the UK government has introduced a transition period to help overseas exporters familiarise themselves with the new regulations on plant health and sanitary (SPS) controls for products exported to the UK.
This adjustment phase will end on 30 April 2024, after which systematic documentary checks on goods will be introduced, accompanied by physical checks where necessary.
