From 1 October 2024, the reduced rate of VAT in the Autonomous Region of Madeira will be 4% (instead of the current 5%).
This is a measure included in Madeira’s new budget for 2024 (Article 21 of Regional Legislative Decree no. 6/2024/M, of 29 July), which aims to reduce taxes in the region.
