From the 2026 reference year, Statistik Austria has applied new Intrastat thresholds:
Changes applicable from the 2026 financial year
From the 2026 declaration, the Intrastat thresholds will be modified as follows:
- Arrivals: threshold raised to 5,000,000 EUR (previously 1,100,000 EUR).
- Dispatches: threshold raised to 1,200,000 EUR (previously 1,100,000 EUR).
Companies that did not exceed the thresholds of 5,000,000 EUR for arrivals and/or 1,200,000 EUR for dispatches in 2025 will be exempt from submitting Intrastat declarations from 2026 onwards.
However, if one of these thresholds is reached or exceeded during 2026, the Intrastat declaration obligation will apply immediately, from the month in which the threshold was exceeded, and for the relevant trade flow.
