In accordance with the ministerial decree, the Council of Ministers defines the INTRASTAT statistical thresholds each year.
With this in mind, a number of changes have been made, particularly with regard to intra-Community acquisitions of goods from other EU Member States on Cypriot territory.
As a result, from January 2024, the following thresholds will come into force:
- Intra-Community acquisitions to rise from €270,000 to €320,000
- The threshold for intra-Community deliveries remains unchanged (€75,000)
It should also be noted that the INTRASTAT simplification thresholds remain unchanged (thresholds above which additional information is required):
- 2,700,000 for intra-Community acquisitions
- 5,800,000 for intra-Community deliveries
Economic operators carrying out intra-Community transactions will be responsible for ensuring that the thresholds set for fulfilling tax and customs obligations are met.
The obligation to file intrastat data will be required when the threshold is exceeded in 2024.
